United We Stand Ohio, The Presidential Series was inspired by my father, Howard Isaac Swartz, Jr, and my mother, Millie Parish Swartz. My mother instilled a love for reading, and my father instilled in us a passion for learning through living, traveling, and experiencing life.
My dad was a chaperone on every field trip for every one of his kids. He had an omnipresence standing at 6' 3" and was a solid 250 lbs. Everyone was always well-behaved on these outings. In addition to the school events, my dad took all of us out, traveling to visit various museums throughout the country. We toured the National Parks, Military Parks, Botanical Gardens, Amusement Parks, Historical Re-Enactment Sites, and almost any live musical entertainment. We all learned about the United States through living and exploring. Fortunately, my husband Charles and I love learning, traveling, and exploring. It has been never-ending.
